NFWare Value Added Reseller
NFWare vCGNAT
Carrier-Grade NAT, fully in software
NFWare Virtual CGNAT helps operators address IPv4 address exhaustion with high-performance NAT running on commercial off-the-shelf x86 servers — on bare metal or in virtualized and cloud-native environments.
Virtual CGNAT
IPv4 continuity at carrier scale.
Share public IPv4 addresses across subscribers, keep the logging regulators require and prepare the network for IPv6 — without dedicated hardware appliances.

FAQ
NFWare — frequently asked questions
What is CGNAT?
Carrier-Grade NAT lets many subscribers share a smaller pool of public IPv4 addresses. Operators use it to keep growing when new IPv4 addresses are no longer available, while they move to IPv6.
What is the difference between NAT44 and NAT64?
NAT44 translates private IPv4 addresses to public IPv4 addresses. NAT64 lets IPv6-only subscribers reach IPv4-only services, which supports the transition to IPv6.
What are Port Block Allocation and Deterministic NAT?
Both reduce the amount of NAT logging operators must store. Port Block Allocation assigns ports to a subscriber in blocks, and Deterministic NAT maps each subscriber to a fixed port range that can be calculated instead of logged per session.
Does NFWare vCGNAT need special hardware?
No. NFWare vCGNAT is software that runs on standard x86 servers, on bare metal or in KVM, VMware, OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
